Over the summer I went on my first work trip; an audit for two weeks in Mexico City. Everyday, I faced a mental struggle to get myself to the lousy hotel gym every morning. Just recently, I went on my second two week audit in Costa Rica and wanted to make this experience a lot different. I quickly realized just how easy it is these days to find simple and easy workouts that do not require any equipment or that dreaded treadmill.
I used this quick workout a few mornings while I was in Costa Rica to mix things up from the morning run on the treadmill…
Hotel Room Body Weight Circuit:

20 Mountain Climbers
20 Pushups
Repeat 5x

30 Bicycle Crunches
Repeat 2x
Some of my favorite resources for finding at home workouts:
- Pinterest Fitness Boards: Pinterest is the mecca for finding links to all sorts of internet platforms that have great workout write ups with pictures and even videos. Pinterest usually leads you to great workouts on the next two resources listed below.
- Youtube: Do not underestimate what you can find for workout videos here. I was able to find a full 55 minute barre class among many others.
- Fitness Instructors/Trainers who Blog: These are usually awesome tutorials with a lot of explanation and pictures, some even provide videos to follow.
- My two favorite local Boston Fitness Bloggers are Nicole Perr (Pumps and Iron) & Sarah Dussault (Sarah Fit)
